MBE - One Way

"Basketball doesn't build character, it reveals it"- James Naismith

MBE- One Way is an exciting expansion of our 'Moore Brothers Elite' AAU program. MBE - One Way will be led by our partner Tyrone Lewis and is based out of Levittown, Pa & surrounding areas. We will be putting together 6 competitive AAU age groups: 6th - 11th Grade both Boy's & Girl's teams. We are looking for young athletes that have a passion for the game and want to compete at a high level with others for a common goal.  We pride ourselves on hard-work and dedication and we hope to instill these qualities in every player.

Our Mission: Help committed players build confidence and skills to perform at their highest level by teaching them the fundamentals of the sport.

Our Coaching Philosophy: To have players understand that they are part of something more important and bigger than their individual considerations, and become unselfish in their thinking, ultimately achieving and obtaining more satisfaction from the overall experience of competitive basketball.

Our Training Philosophy: We believe that by combining high-intensity training with high-energy coaching our players see results more quickly and advance to higher   levels. The coaching staff have successful tract records at the college and professional levels.

Tyrone attended Harry S. Truman High School.  Lewis , played all four years of varsity for the Tigers from 2002-2006 becoming Bucks Country All-Time leading scorer (2,211)

Tyrone earned a Full Scholarship to play Division 1 basketball at Niagara University in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC).

While at Niagara, Lewis became the first freshman to be named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference tournament most valuable player after Niagara won the conference title. He was named first-team all-MAAC, then helped the Eagles beat Florida A&M for their first NCAA tournament win in 37 years. Lewis competed at Niagara from 2006-10, ending as the school’s leader in 3-pointers and steals as well as its third all-time leading scorer.  He is the only player in Purple Eagles history and MAAC history to have 1,500 points, 500 rebounds, 200 steals, 200 three-pointers, 200 assists and 76 blocks.  He was picked first team All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference in 2009, second team in 2008 and to the All-Rookie Team in 2007.

Following Tyrone's collegiate career, he went on to play professionally in Europe. He was blessed to have played in both Israel and Germany before a knee injury forced him to look into coaching.

Following his pro career, Tyrone since has coached for 12 years at six great basketball programs. He began his coaching career at Bensalem High School as the the Boys’ Assistant Varsity coach in 2011. He then went to become head coach for Germany's 16U team where they completed an undefeated season and became 16U Champions. In 2012, he came back home to become the assistant coach for Widner University. In 2013, the same year he was inducted into the Bristol Township Athletic Hall of Fame, he became the head coach at Bristol High where he took the Warriors to two-straight District One Class 2A titles and consecutive appearances in the PIAA Class 2A tournament. Bristol was 30-20 and 14-7 in the Bicentennial Athletic League under Lewis. For the next three years, Lewis returned to his College alma mater as the Director of Operations under coach Chris Casey. Following, Lewis returned to his High School alma mater at Harry S. Truman as the Head Varsity coach from 2018-2022. Currently Lewis is the head coach of Conwell-Egan High School which is in the historic Philadelphia Catholic League.
